Above the door may read “Hopstein Ale Hall” but to the tired miners in need of a little escape it is simply called the Brewhouse. The sprawling hall is also one of the largest public spaces in the city with several bars and no shortage of seating. This project also serves as Roark’s personal propaganda service as twice a week free meals are given out on his dime. While this may seem to be a charitable gesture the meals are typical grains, salted pork and sardines giving the patrons a powerful thirst with precious little else besides beer to drink. There has been some concern from the mining companies that the miners may organize to force higher wages on their employers. Roark so far has quieted these concerns stating that he has many watchful eyes to weed out any such rabble rousers.
